Cowgirl Lovebrand is an original folk music project based in Squamish, B.C. 

Get ready to experience the raw, heartfelt sound of Cowgirl Lovebrand. Hailing from beautiful Squamish, B.C., their music brings you a blend of poetic storytelling, and a deep love for all genres of music, most notably folk, blues and a little bit of country. This music is crafted right from heart.

Lead by singer-songwriter Samantha Sinanan, Cowgirl Lovebrand features the gentle grooves of Antti Makitalo on electric guitar and a variety of other guest musicians when the occasion calls.

Performing both original and cover tunes, Cowgirl Lovebrand draws inspiration and influence from artists including Joni Mitchell, Lucinda Williams, Carol King, Neil Young, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Melody Gardot.

Seasons

Cowgirl Lovebrand plays both locally and internationally. Our local haunts include Trickster’s Hideout, the Brackendale Art Gallery as well as at a myriad of festivals and events around town. Occasionally we get the chance to perform abroad. In 2023, Cowgirl Lovebrand had the honour of of playing at the Suomalaisen Saunan Päivä Festival, in Tampere, Finland. Thunder

One of several nature and climate change-themed songs, Thunder was written in the summer of 2024 to honour the burial of a beloved family member on an island cemetery. One day we’ll all be ashes in the ground.
